TheTVObserver: TV's Hottest Ladies

The international Women’s Day (IWD) is a global celebration of economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. Since TheTVObserver is a member of Bloggers Unite, we decided to select female television stars, we consider HOT! In some countries like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, IWD is a national holiday. The first IWD was run in 1911.
Annually on 8 March, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women's craft markets, theatric performances, fashion parades and more.

Jessica Alba

(“Dark Angel”)
Will you marry me! Is probably what rings in every man’s head whenever they see this amazing beauty. Alba was featured in saucy poses for 2009 Campari calendar (goodness can we show that for our StarSpread…maybe..Wink Wink!). Debuted her daughter Honor Marie Warren on the cover of OK! magazine (July 2008). She graduated from high school at age 16 – Brainy!. She was at No. 3 on FHM magazine's annual list of 100 Sexiest Women in the World in 2006 and voted the 1st in 2007, and 3rd in 2008. For more on Alba check out StarSpread. She held a baby shower at the Ever After Teahouse in Studio City on April 6, 2008. Her breakout role in the James Cameron-produced “Dark Angel” sent our hearts all atwitter—as Max Guevara, a government-engineered super-soldier, Alba kicked ass in black leather and red lips. Alba’s appeal on the series was so powerful, co-star Michael Weatherly “NCIS” couldn’t resist; the two dated.

Kristen Bell

(“Heroes,” “Veronica Mars”)
Bell was included in PETA's World's Sexiest Vegetarians list for 2007 and she lent her likeness to Ubisoft's historical-fantasy game, "Assassin's Creed" (November 2007). Watching her in either one of her pop art hits—the thoughtful teen detective in “Mars” or the edgy Elle in “Heroes”—reveals a strength of character that dominates any room she’s in, a jaw line that shames even the mighty Bruce Campbell and a smile that could melt plastic.

Teri Hatcher

(“Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” // “Desperate Housewives”)
Having been the most frequently downloaded female artist from the Internet in the late '90s, Teri Lynn Hatcher certainly has scored one thing that distinguishes her from other television and movie stars. Viewers who remembered her as a mousy-looking guest star on “MacGyver” were in for a shock when photos of Hatcher draped only in a red cape were distributed in the early ’90s. Brassy, smart and self-assured, she was a challenge not even Kent’s superpowers could handle.

Charisma Carpenter

(“Buffy,” “Angel,” “Veronica Mars”)
Attended Bishop Gorman Catholic High School, Las Vegas, NV and Bonita High, CA. She graduated from Chula Vista School of Creative and Performing Arts in 1988. Most recently seen on the cancelled BigShots series, Carpenter is by the best actor to play an annoying sexy star. You just want to harm her but she is sexy you just let her go to give another poor guy gas or heart burn. There’s just something about the snobbish, egocentric cheerleader type that Charisma Carpenter was born to play.

Evangeline Lilly

(“Lost”)
Lilly signed a deal with Coty Prestige to become the new face of its fragrance, called Cool Water Woman, in March 2008. Voted the No. 1 Hottest Star on US TV in a poll conducted by TV Guide Magazine in March 2007. She has been the spokesmodel for Livelinks, a telephone chat line whose numerous commercials often aired during late night television. Entertainment Weekly named her and the other "Lost" stars its Entertainer of the Year by December 2005. More on that with StarSpread. She wears the same dirty wife beater for months on end and haven’t taken a shower since Locke blew up the hatch. But Lilly makes poor hygiene hot again.

Rose McGowan

(“Charmed”)
Named Hollywood's Style Queen of the Year by American magazine Us Weekly in April 2007. and Stylish she is! Man this women is HOT and StyarSpread will deliver a sizzling spread with our lovely Rose. Almost single-handedly breaking the stereotype that witches are hard on the eyes, McGowan emerged as our favorite caster of spells. (Also, too, orders of restraint.) I gotta admit that Charmed had offerd two of our favourite television sexies….Alyssa Milano and Rose as the second. You gotta give it to TheWB turned TheCW, as they continue to master the art of TV Eye Candy for Boys and Girls!

Sarah Gellar

(“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”)
Sarah Michelle Gellar ranked 5th in Maxim magazine's annual Hot 100 list in 2008. Auctioned off naked photos of herself on eBay to raise money for the Coalition of Skin Diseases (February 2008). Took her clothes off for Vaseline's new petroleum jelly gig, debuted in January 2008 and Legally took her husband Freddie Prinze Jr.'s surname on their fifth wedding anniversary in September 2007. She is still the gold standard when it comes to perky, hot cheerleaders who wind up being enlisted to impale vampires.

Missy Peregrym

(“Reaper”)
I have to admit that Reaper is not what I call my favourite television show, also that fiasco Mnet had with viewers after they discovered that the show is bit too much for their poor kids. Give a break, but again parents have a right to screw up their kids as much as they want. Okay, so it’s not very believable that someone with Missy’s looks would be mired in a big-box clerk job at the Work Bench, the de facto hangout of “Reaper’s” demonic-bounty hunters. Then again, it’s not too realistic to scoop up an evil spirit with a Dirt Devil.

Jennifer Garner

Wonder women, Mrs Affleck was named Woman of the Year by Glamour Magazine in November 2007,

Graced the cover of Marie Claire's October 2007 issue, Signed a $1million (£500,000) contract with cosmetics company

(“Alias”)
Neutrogena to be an ambassador for its new Anti-Oxidant Age Reverse treatment range (June 2007) and Hosted the 2004's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Scientific and Technical Awards. For more you will have to wait for StarSpread with Jennifer Garner. Oh she also did balet when little. Uber-athletic Garner is popular for role on the spy thriller “Alias”.

Anna Friel

(“Pushing Daisies”)
She attended Crompton House Church of England High School, in High Crompton, England and The Oldham College in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. Friel has the dubious honor of being the most tragically desired female on television; as the resurrected boyhood crush of life-giving Ned on ABC’s “Daisies,” he can’t touch her without sending her back into the grave. We included her in our previous blog on television couples.

Gillian Anderson

“The X-Files”)
Gillian was initially cast in drama flick "Helen" (2008), but dropped the role due to scheduling conflict and got replaced by Ashley Judd. Her favorite drink is decaf triple grande soy 2 pump mocha 1 sweet and low no whip. Apple Green is her favorite color. Enough about that for now, StarSpread with Gillian Anderson has a complete showcase of this amazing actress. Also her favorite food is sushi and she is allergic to cats. She remains America’s premier effeminate redhead, who had us believing in aliens for nine seasons on “The X-Files.”

Yvonne Strahovski

(“Chuck”)
This bombshell has graduated from University of Western Sydney's Theatre Nepean, with a Bachelor of Arts in Performance. She plays Chuck’s CIA chaperone Sarah Walker, pulling him out of danger and sighing in exasperation at his geek compulsions.

Like the IWD website states “Make a difference, think globally and act locally. Make everyday International Women's Day. Do your bit to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding.” Go hug your favorite lady, girl or women! Do something nice for her (like you should everyday).
