TheTVObserver: J.O.N.A.S

Every fan of the Jonas Brothers all around the world, but mostly in the US, probably watched the premier of J.O.N.A.S. If you live in some cave or you just don’t care, well be grateful for stumbling upon TheTVObserver’s OnTheProgram as we feature J.O.N.A.S the new original series from Disney Channel.

May 2 @ 8PM ET/PT in the US, was the premier of the much publicized and often put on hold series from the successful music group, Jonas Brothers. For most fans of the brothers, it was TV heaven. Even thou I prefer them singing rather than acting, I think it was a nice show for teens. Maybe I should refer to them as fans of the Jonas Brothers.

Knowing that the Disney Channel is behind the show may just provide enough reason for it to be on air for a while. But with so many fans, the show may become another Disney success. Who am I kidding its going to be a Disney success.

The original story line for the series had the title J.O.N.A.S standing for "Junior Operatives Networking As Spies". The original concept had been about the Jonas Brothers living a double life as spies. Chelsea Staub described it as, "like The Monkees and a little of bit of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. There's going to be fun action sequences and still be a sitcom."

The Jonas Brothers are an American pop boy band. The band gained their popularity from the Disney Channel children's television network. Hailing from Wyckoff, New Jersey, the band consists of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. In the summer of 2008, they starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. They have released three albums: It's About Time (2006), Jonas Brothers (2007), and A Little Bit Longer (2008). The band's fourth studio album will be released June 15, 2009; tentatively titled Lines, Vines and Trying Times.[5] In 2008, the group was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards.
The Jonases are known for their wholesome, "family-friendly" image, and the brothers are all committed Evangelical Christians. Their father is a former Assembly of God pastor, and they were homeschooled by their mother. In addition, to signify their vow to abstain from premarital sex, on their left-hand ring finger they all wear purity rings. Joe has said that the rings symbolize "a promise to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till marriage," and Nick had stated that "it's purity rings pretty awesome, and the rings are just one of our ways of kind of like being different than everybody else out there."
